Shaman Drums are traditionally used as an aid to "journeying" where the beating of the drum over a period of time is used to achieve a trance like altered state of conciousness.
An Octagonal wooden framed drum in a lakota style. It is trimmed with beads and feathers. The diameter is 50cms approx. The drum has a low resonant tone. It is covered with goat skin and has skin tension lacing at the back. It comes complete with a beater.
